The following extracts are from the Lodge minutes for Tuesday 19th July 1887
Detailing the visit by American Brethren and the presentation of the collarette to the Worshipful Master.
At the Installation ceremony of the new Worshipful Master in Eboracum, the IPM presents the WM with the collarette, and at the same time he says the following words.
“I now present you with this collarette given by visiting American Brethren in 1887 and which, by permission of Grand Lodge, may be worn only in this building when none but masons are present.”
